NectarForgePrivacy Policy

Effective date: July 2, 2026

The short version: NectarForge does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. Everything you record in the app — batches, recipes, gravity readings, photos, and settings — is stored only on your device. There are no accounts, no analytics, no ads, and no tracking of any kind.

What the app stores (locally)

To do its job, NectarForge saves the following on your device only:

  • Batch details, task schedules, log entries, and gravity readings you enter
  • Recipes you create or import
  • Photos you attach to batches (stored in the app’s private folder)
  • Your preferences, such as units and experience mode

What we do not collect

None of your data is uploaded anywhere. We (the developers) never see it. The app contains no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs, and makes no network requests to our servers — we don’t have any.

Permissions we ask for

  • Camera / photo library — only used when you choose to add a photo to a batch. Photos stay on your device.
  • Notifications — only used to remind you when a brewing step is due, such as adding nutrients or taking a gravity reading. Reminders are scheduled on your device, not from a server, and can be turned off in Settings.

Sharing and exports

Data only ever leaves the app when you choose to send it: sharing a recipe file or exporting your batch data (JSON/CSV) uses your device’s standard share menu. Where it goes from there — a message, an email, a cloud drive — is entirely your choice and handled by the app you share it to.

Purchases, third parties & children

  • Purchases — the optional premium unlock is processed entirely by Google Play. We never see or store your payment details.
  • Third parties — the app contains no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
  • Children — the app collects no data from anyone, including children. As a home-brewing companion, it is intended for users of legal drinking age.

Deleting your data & policy changes

Uninstalling the app permanently removes all of its data from your device. You can export a copy first from Settings → Export.

If a future version of the app changes how data is handled (for example, optional cloud sync), this policy will be updated first and the effective date above revised.
